SAPD Catches Car Thief on Easter After Short Foot Chase

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A man was arrested on Sunday after stealing a car and then running from police.

On April 21, the San Angelo Police Department responded to a car theft that had occurred on E 24th. They named the thief as Richard Delacruz.

Delacruz led police on a short foot chase until he was found near the 300 block of E 25th. They found him lying underneath an RV.

Delacruz was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest. He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail on a $17,500 bond.
