SAPD Urges Designated Drivers on National Drink Wine Day

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Nation Drink Wine day is Monday, so the San Angelo Police Department tells people the dangers of drunk driving and urges them to get a designated driver.

"Alcohol consumption impairs your thinking, reasoning, and muscle coordination," reminding people on the SAPD Facebook Page. "These are all vital abilities in operating a motor vehicle."

There are many options of travel when going out and drinking. San Angelo is home to Uber, Lyft, and other taxi services. SAPD also expressed that having someone in your group, that you choose prior to drinking, to be a sober driver is the best option.

Remember to always wear your seatbelt and if you see a drunk driver on the road call law enforcement.
