U.S. Marshals Arrest Lubbock Shooting Suspect in Odessa

 

ODESSA, TX -- U.S. Marshals in Odessa arrested a Lubbock man Wednesday who was wanted for shooting his girlfriend in a domestic dispute. 

According to the Ector County Sheriff's Office, Lubbock Police Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute and found a woman holding a towel to her neck. 

They removed the towel and saw a gunshot wound. 

The woman told police her boyfriend shot her with a handgun during a domestic dispute and fled the scene. 

She told officers her two children were in the room when the shooting occurred. 

Lubbock Police called the U.S. Marshals Office fugitive task force in Lubbock and the search began for 32-year-old Courtney Deshawn Dobbins. 

U.S. Marshals in Odessa located and arrested Dobbins.  

He was booked into the Ector County jail on one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Dobbins will be transported back to Lubbock County for prosecution.
