Burglary Suspect Shot in the Head By Homeowner

BIG SPRING, TX – One man was hospitalized and another arrested after a homeowner with a gun stopped an attempted burglary in Big Spring Tuesday.

The Howard County Sheriff's Office responded to a home burglary early Tuesday morning. When deputies arrived at the scene they found the homeowner and one of his friends.

They told the officers that they had just arrived home when they witnessed two men walking out. The homeowner told the men to stop, and warned them that he was armed. This is when Brandon Robinson, 33, and Timothy Wilson, 22, told the two that they were also armed and got into the vehicle. According to the sheriff's deputy the suspects made an aggressive move towards the homeowner and his friend and several shots were fired into the vehicle.

Robinson was in the driver seat where he was struck in the head by a bullet. Wilson was in the passenger seat and was not injured. Robinson was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock, while Wilson was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.

According to CBS 7, no charges are pending against the homeowner or his friend.
