UPDATE: San Angelo Walmart Stores Reopening After Bomb Threat

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo's Walmart stores were evacuated because of a bomb threat Monday.

San Angelo police officers at the scene of the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Knickerbocker Rd. at Valley View said that all five San Angelo Walmart locations were closed and evacuated.  

This is a developing story.   

UPDATE 2:20 p.m.

San Angelo Fire Department Assistant Chief Todd Sanford told reporters at the Walmart Super Center on Sherwood Way that they were evacuating the Super Centers.  Reporters on the scene say firefighters are inside the building now. 

Additional reports that all five Walmart locations being evacuated are coming in.  

UPDATE 3:32 p.m.

Reporters on the scene say the Walmart Super Center on S. Bryant Blvd. has reopened.  

UPODATE 5:45 p.m.

The Walmart Super Centers on N. Bryant, S. Bryant and Sherwood Way are reopened as is the Neighborhood Market on Sherwood Way.  

We are awaiting official word from city officials.
