Sheriff's Deputies Find 3 Pounds of Meth, $7,000 at Traffic Stop

SAN ANGELO, TX-- A man was arrested for having more than three pounds of methamphetamine and over $7,000 on Thursday.

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Cullwell St. and N. Baze St. around 2 p.m on a 2007 Chevy Envoy. When the deputy pulled the vehicle over they soon knew that Andrew Scott Perez, 39, was inside and was wanted on a warrant for a parole violation.

He was then arrested for the violation, and his car was impounded. The TGSO searched the vehicle before it was impounded, and found three and a quarter pounds of meth and $7,000 in the glove compartment. They also found evidence consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine.

Perez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail.  Perez is charged with Parole Violation and Manufacturing and Delivery of a Control Substance PG1>= 400G. No bond is listed on the jail roster for Perez.

That should be the only punishment for possession of any quantity of that poison. Once a meth head or meth cook, always one. Just get rid of them and be done with it.

Long gone are the days of paltry grams, occassional ounces, now San Angelo has POUNDS of meth.....gee I wonder how much will come through once the interstate is done.....

Can we just rename the city to Baby Odessa already

I mean we are practically the same
