I think Tom Green County needs to get there on medical doctor and dentist when they build the new jail. They can pay them a salary to treat them and keep them at the jail. I do realize that something might not be able to be treated in the jail but it would sure eliminate funds from the indigent program being spent on inmates. They would need help outside the jail for diabetes, heart conditions, major lung problems and cancer. But colds, sprained ankles, bruises and things like bad teeth could be handled by the jail physician or jail dentist .Better yet if they hired a NP or PA that would be cheaper than a physician. They are smart enough to know if they get caught committing a crime and get caught there going to jail but not smart enough to realize that our tax money goes for their care. So if your in jail and get beat up when you were told to shut up not stand up then don't be crying for help if your in pain. Deal with it you caused it. Shut up, sit down and hang on. It might be worse,
