Foster Facility Employee Arrested for Improper Relationship with a Child

ABILENE, TX-- A woman was arrested Thursday after police were tipped about her relationship with a minor according to KRBC.

Samantha Almager, 27, was an employee of the Harmony Family Services, a foster facility in Abilene, where she allegedly had a relationship with one of the children who was placed there. 

Abilene Police received the tip on Nov. 15 from a witness who had stated that Almager told him she was involved with a teen at Harmony Family Services and that they would engage in sexual activity on the grounds of the facility.

The minor denied the relationship at first but eventually admitted that they had kissed. The minor has been moved to a different facility in Austin.

Child Protective Services investigators were able to give detectives video evidence and pictures of the alleged relationship which included a statement about an incident where she was found in a bathroom stall with Almager and Almager had to be forcibly removed after refusing to leave. 

Almager has been terminated from her position at Harmony Family Services and has been charged with Sexual Assault of a Child with a $35,000 bond.
