Operating a motor vehicle is an important privilege and responsibility for drivers, especially in a state as large as Texas with more than 310,000 miles of public roadways. Tragically, every year in Texas, approximately 3,000 people are killed in traffic crashes and more than 80,000 are seriously injured.

Today, more than ever, drivers must avoid distractions in their own vehicle while also staying alert for impaired or unsafe drivers sharing the roadway – failing to do so could have tragic consequences.

Congratulations to the SAPD for a job well done. Thanks for making the streets and highways of San Angelo safer.

What happens when a driver is stopped without a license? How about a driver with no insurance? Are they allowed to drive home or is the vehicle impounded? What makes the same driver to not doing it again? Questions to ponder. Also extra revenue for the city.

I believe they are allowed to drive off. Should impound vehicle until proof of one yrs ins and DL

Since when is 62 mph speeding? I thought the speed limit was 65 on Houston Harte and around the loop.
