Two Arrested for Possession of Meth Wednesday Morning at San Angelo Hotel

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police Department officers arrested two people for drug possession and outstanding warrants at the America’s Best Value Inn on S. Bryant at Ave. L Wednesday morning.  

SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers were dispatched to the hotel room for a welfare concern.  When officers arrived, the found a man and a woman in the room.

Officers found that both individuals had outstanding warrants.  According to Officer Gonzalez, 23-year-old Tyler Nelson had an outstanding warrant from Lubbock and 30-year-old Sara Beckwith had two outstanding city warrants and was wanted by Child Protective Services.  

When officers arrived at the room there was a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in plain sight in the room.  

Officer Gonzalez says both Nelson and Beckwith were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.  

The person that police were dispatched for the welfare concern was not in the room.

Somebody called the cops on them and said something to the effect of, I'm worried about the people in the next hotel room, I heard them arguing and now it's really quiet over there.
