If we do, they'll get weeded out. Our boys in blue are some of the best here in San Angelo, I've never come across one like "Pac Man" in my whole life here... Hope that doesn't disappoint you too much.

I did a little research on your screen name, "Lares Deces". "Lares", apparently is from ancient Rome and means "Household God's"... "Deces", a french word means "Death".

Household god's of death?
I guess it fits with your crepehanger worldview.

....not really, but among the various possible BS introductions, that one's as good as any.

Kudos on the research, and the use of the antiquated "crepehanger". Though we're undoubtedly on opposing teams (philosophically speaking), I can see you clearly put some thought into your various posts here.

I believe that the people who vandalized the school were fully aware of their misdeeds, and the fact that what they did was wrong. I also believe that like most criminals, they weighed the consequences, if only for a fleeting moment, and decided that whatever community service or slap on the wrist which would possibly follow was definitively not painful enough to detour their actions.

Reportedly, the graffiti was gang related, which is an immediate indicator of the type of trash which deserves no compassion or leniency in regards to their imminent day in court. They join gangs because as individuals, they're empty shells, just corpses that refuse to lie down before shitting where the rest of us eat. Their powerless, socially and economically speaking, and devoid of any redeeming value to society.

Various more proactive nations who don't wet themselves over the thought of true punishment have taken steps to classify their local gangs as 'terrorists', and deal with them accordingly, while we obligingly face the fallout of our own organized criminal element and dismiss their crimes as the inevidible mistakes of wayward youth.

We could move toward cleaning up the streets in such a manner. What's the difference between some fanatical, murderous asshole dressed like the Zig Zag man and a 5 foot tall little rat bastard who thinks he owns the south side? They both thrive on terrorizing innocent people, they both belong to an organization dedicated to the practical application of criminal activity. Both have the same disregard for the lives of those outside of their circles, and both have the potential of spreading their low rent filth like a plague if left unchecked.

Amen...to the 5 ft tall little rat bastard! The article was well said. What we allow becomes acceptable. As citizens we should refuse to condone and allow this behavior!

Sweep 97% of this post aside and you kinda answered my question in one regard... We could consider gangs to be in the same class as terrorists after many legislative sessions and some voting, something like that could possibly get passed and I would use my ability as a citizen to vote for that transformation to take place. Congrats man, see I knew we could get to the bottom of the sludge to a point of understanding.

Hopefully it's understandable that I'm not going to in any way dumb down what I have to say about Jesus and His influence in my life but I'm trying to get the point across as well that, I'm human too... I understand, much more than people seem to give me credit for, where you guys are coming from... I prefer to point to a specific solution within reality though and it's tough to muster through all of the emotions that people use to express themselves... No matter your specific belief, you are a human too... I wouldn't cave in inch in my holding that Jesus Christ is the Lord of Lord's and King of King's and I don't believe in religous pluralism but I do believe in Freedom! I will forever tell of the goodness of God and will also say "tough" if it offends... Jesus' message was offensive to the Jew's who had Him crucified and I count it a blessing to carry my own cross as I follow His way but I will never take any action to silence any alternative view and hope that the perspective that I interject is given at least that much respect.

There probably are many different possible legislation changes that could impact the criminal element and we, as the people who do behave as law abiding, family having, freedom loving locals, are the ones who are responsible to take action and participate in legislation changes... And to uphold the law's that exist in the meantime. As I've said before, it's up to us to do the research necessary to confidently and legally protect ourselves and our community... See somebody driving bad, call the cops, they're probably full of some kind of drug or foolish pride. We don't have to be bystanders or victims... That is tough to accept too. Sometimes life puts choices in front of you, tough ones but it's better to fight and lose then to sit and take a beating or worse, let someone else take one.
