Local Woman Out on Bond for Fatal Hit & Run Arrested for DWI

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Brandi Weidner at 2:53 a.m. Thursday according to the inmate roster at the Tom Green County Jail.

Weidner is charged with an accident involving death according to court records.  She had a criminal pretrial hearing earlier this week where her jury trial was moved from October 16 to December 11.

Weidner is accused driving a car on December 22, 2014 that struck and killed Gunnar McNeill.  According to reports, McNeill was walking in the 3700 block of N. Bryant Blvd. when he was struck by a vehicle.

Weidner failed to stop.  The report says she “intentionally and knowingly” failed to stop the vehicle at the scene.  When investigators went to her home, Weidner reportedly told them she thought she hit a deer.

Weidner was arrested Thursday morning for driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid.  Her bond was set at $5,450.  She was released from custody at 1:28 p.m. Thursday.

wow she is already in trouble for hit and run with a death and she is able to post bond for DUI. She is now free to kill some one else.

How many times are we going to let her out? She clearly cannot be trusted not to get behind the wheel while drinking. So sad.

Brandi is infuriating to those who have lost loved ones to drunk drivers. She should lose her license for life, and if she is caught behind the wheel again, she should go to prison for life. And the person who enabled her to drive should also be prosecuted. Shes lucky to be in the USA, some countries don't play, they execute. That's why they don't have a drunk driving problem. Her being out on bail right now is b******t. I wonder if the judge that let her post bail knows she has already killed someone ??
