SAPD Nabs Love Shack Aggravated Robbery Suspect

SAN ANGELO, TX -- On August 9, 2017, Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division obtained an Arrest Warrant for Brian R. Garcia III, 19, of San Angelo in connection to the August 6, 2017 Aggravated Robbery at the Love Shack Express, 1807 South Lincoln Street.

Through a follow-up investigation, Garcia was developed as the suspect who entered the store and inquired about glass water pipes, and after settling on one pipe, Garcia told the clerk he would take the pipe. Garcia then walked towards the door with the pipe, pointed a gun at the clerk, and left the store.

Garcia was taken into custody by San Angelo Police at approximately 8:30 this morning at the Parole Office, 1070 Gateway Drive.  Garcia was subsequently booked into the Tom Green County Jail where he remains confined on $50,000 bond.

Rob Cromwell, proprietor of the two Love Shack stores, issued a statement shortly after police named the suspect. "All of us at the Love Shacks would Like to thank the police, detectives and all our friends in the media that had this suspect identified, located and arrested in record time," he stated. "One more dangerous person with a gun off the streets. Thanks to all!"

I'm sure the police got the right guy, because I'm sure they could link him to the car, etc. However....doesn't the guy in the mugshot look like a different guy than the guy on the security cam footage?

The guy in the surveillance looks nothing like the guy in the mugshot...hopefully they didn't get the wrong guy.

I hope this kid isn't innocent, I could be wrong but the male in the surveillance photo looks nothing like the kid in the mugshot?

So these guys don't look alike at all, but sure the police always know what they are doing so it's gotta be him.............. Right?
