BRADY, TX - A 27-year-old Brady resident was arrested after Brady Police conducted a local warrant check during a criminal trespass investigation.

According to a press release, yesterday, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Brady Police observed an individual at Willie Washington Park on East 11th and Grove St. after normal closing hours.

"Officers made contact with the female, who identified herself as Mary Garcia, a 27-year-old resident of Brady," said the press release. "After checking to make sure everything was in order, a local warrant check was conducted on Garcia. The return on this inquiry showed Garcia had an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest that had been issued through the McCulloch County Justice Court on 04/05/17 for Possession of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, Less Than One Gram."

Upon warrant confirmation, Garcia was arrested and transported to the McCulloch County Sheriff’s Office where she was booked and jailed pending arraignment by a magistrate, said Brady Police.
