Police: Man Suffers Chest Wound When Woman Stabs Him

A man was stabbed by a woman in the 700 block of Macann St. off Paint Rock Rd. at approximately 8:15 p.m.

Police said that patrol units were dispatched and upon arrival, police found a male victim of a single stab wound to the right side of his chest. The wound was serious enough to rush the victim to Shannon Medical Center where his condition is unknown.

The female suspect fled the house before police arrived. But Sgt. Coffman said that during the course of the investigation, police located her and took her into custody.

Police detectives and the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) are continuing the investigation to determine if charges will be filed and if anyone will be arrested.
