DPS: Passenger Dies in Horrific Rural Area Crash

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A one-vehicle crash resulted in a fatality on Sunday afternoon in Tom Green County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 19-year-old Hailey Eileen Flanagan of Florida was traveling on Susan Peak Rd. near Wall, TX with two passengers.

The subsequent investigation revealed the 2020 Hyundai Elantra was traveling at a fast rate of speed when Flanagan lost control and struck a tree. The impact caused the Elantra to overturn.

According to law enforcement, Flanagan was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.

One of the passengers, 22-year-old Maximilien Khanna of Goodfellow Airforce Base was also transported to the hospital with incapacitating injuries.

The second passenger, 25-year-old Ryan Alexander Tasso of Florida, was killed in the crash. He was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard. All three passengers were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

According to DPS, the posted speed limit for that area is 45 mph, the weather was clear and cloudy, and the roads were dry.
