WATCH: Driver Injured in Sherwood Way Head-on Crash

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Traffic on Sherwood Way was blocked during the noon hour Thursday following a head-on crash that sent one to the hospital.

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Long, a white Chevrolet Tahoe was eastbound on Sherwood Way as a black GMC pickup was attempting to pull out of a private drive near Southwest Blvd.

The driver of the black GMC pulled out of the private drive into the path of the Tahoe and the vehicles crashed head-on.

Officer Long says the driver of the Tahoe was transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The driver of the GMC was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way. 

All three westbound lanes were blocked while police investigated the crash and firefighters cleaned up the wreckage.
