SAN ANGELO, TX --Shortly after 7:30 p.m on Monday, the San Angelo Police Department sent out a Nixle alert asking drivers to avoid the area near Academy Sports + Outdoors.
According to scanner reports, a pickup truck and an SUV crashed at the intersection of Sherwood Way and Sunset Dr. At least one person was transported aboard an ambulance, but their injuries are unknown at this time.

SAPD officers at the scene declined to comment and no further details were released. According to LIVE! reporters at the scene police were at the location for over one hour.
