WATCH: Driver of Stolen Truck Smashes Taxi then Runs From Cops

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department is currently searching for a man who crashed a stolen pickup into a taxi cab. 

According to Officer Welch with the SAPD, on May 18, officers were dispatched to the intersection of W 29th and Grape Creek Road for the report of a crash where one of the drivers fled the scene on foot. 

As officers arrived the man was seen running through the W&W AFCO yard and then escaped. A group of officers are currently searching for the man.

Further investigation revealed that a Taxi Cab SUV was traveling East on 29th while the white Dodge Ram was traveling south on Grape Creek Road. The Dodge allegedly ran the red light which caused the vehicles to crash. 

The Dodge has been reported stolen from Crockett County. 

No one was reported injured in the crash.
