After Mustang Slams into South Plains Implement Yard, Driver and Pax Flee on Foot

SAN ANGELO, TX — Charges are pending after a red Mustang slammed into the satellite location of the South Plain Implement Company off S. Bryant Blvd. in San Angelo and then fled the scene on foot.

According to the San Angelo police, the driver of the red Ford Mustang was traveling south on Bryant and then, for an unknown reason, went west down the railroad tracks at a high rate of speed. The Mustang knocked down a railroad crossing sign and then busted through the fence of the implement yard. Before crashing into one of the South Plains Implement buildings, the car hit and damaged equipment in the yard.

There were two occupants of the Mustang and both ran away from the crash scene and San Angelo police quickly found and apprehended them. Police said there was possible alcohol involved, however they were reserving judgement if the driver was intoxicated until the investigation is complete.
