SAPD Identifies 19-Year-Old Victim in Fatal RV Park Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department has identified the victim in the fatal crash that occurred last night at the South Concho Community Mobile Home RV Park.

The victim was identified as Austin Imboden, a 19-year-old male of Round Rock, Texas.

According to police, Imboden was driving a 2001 Honda Civic westbound on Mobile Park Road when his vehicle left the roadway and collided head-on with a tree, causing the vehicle to ignite.

A nearby resident was able to extinguish the fire and several witnesses in the mobile home park community said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.

During their investigation, officers located alcoholic beverage cans inside the car; however, it is undetermined if Imboden was driving impaired at the time of the crash. Blood specimen results are currently pending. Imboden was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Fred Buck.

This is an ongoing investigation and no other information is available for release at this time.
