UPDATE: Police Identify Pedestrian Killed by Teen Driver

ABILENE, TX – A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night while walking on the Winters Freeway. 

As previously reported, on Mar. 6, officers with the Abilene Police Department were dispatched to Winter Freeway near first street for the report of a pedestrian vs vehicle crash. Here is the original story: Pedestrian Killed in Freeway Crash Friday

When offices arrived they found the man lying dead in the street. He was struck by a 2011 Buick Lacrosse driven by an 18-year-old female.

The APD have now confirmed the identity of the man as 34-year-old Jose Lupe Alvarado Jr. 

It is unclear if there will be any legal action taken against the driver.
