WATCH: Airmed1 Dispatched to Scary Crash North of San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Airmed1 helicopter was dispatched Wednesday to a major crash at the intersection of Rust Rd. and FM 2105.

According to the troopers with Texas Department of Public Safety, on February 26, troopers were dispatched to the intersection of Rust Rd and FM 2105 for the report of the two vehicle crash. As troopers were arriving on scene they were alerted that the Shannon Airmed1 was on the way to the crash as well.

After a preliminary investigation the troopers determined that a red pickup was traveling on Rust Rd. while a silver passenger car was traveling down FM 2105. The driver of the red pickup allegedly disregarded the stop sign which caused the two vehicles to crash.

Check out a video scene of the crash here:

There were three people inside the silver passenger car. The driver was taken to the hospital via ambulance and the other two passengers went to the hospital via personal vehicle. The driver in the red truck was the sole occupant and was not seriously injured.

The driver of the red truck was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.

No one was transferred to the hospital in Airmed1. The troopers said at the scene that the reason no one was taken in Airmed1 was because all occupants were wearing seatbelts.
