25-Year-Old Dies in Fatal Crash With 18-Wheeler

 

MONAHANS, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday morning north of Monahans.

According to CBS7, troopers responded to a crash at State Highway 18 and State Loop 464 at 6:15 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, they found a Ford Taurus and 18-wheeler. The preliminary investigation revealed the Taurus was traveling north on State Highway 18, while the 18-wheeler was stopped at a stop sign on State Loop 464.

The driver of the 18-wheeler failed to yield the right of way and drove into the intersection, crashing into the Taurus.

The driver of the Taurus was identified as 25-year-old Dalton George of Kanosh, Utah. George was taken to Ward Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
