Pursuit Ends in Crash, Leaves Civilian Dead

 

ODESSA, TX - Ector County Sheriff deputies were led on a vehicle pursuit on Sunday that left one civilian dead after a deadly crash. 

According to CBS7, a felon wanted on a federal warrant led authorities on a chase starting at the 1900 block of Mockingbird. The felon, who has not been identified, was traveling westbound on University when he t-boned a vehicle coming out of a Lowes Parking lot.

The civilian was transported to the Medical Center Hospital ER and was pronounced dead; the victim has not been identified at this time. The suspect was taken into custody after the crash.

DPS is currently investigating the crash and plans to file criminal charges evading causing death/injury. ECSO CSI is assisting in the investigation.
