SAN ANGELO, TX – No one was injured in a house fire in west San Angelo Friday evening at the corner of Wilson St. and N. Van Buren but some pets are reportedly unaccounted for.

There reportedly were six cats and four dogs living at the house.  Residents said the four dogs were accounted for but the cats were missing.

According to SAFD Battalion Chief Jay Neely, "Engine 5 did a fast attack.  It was about 50% involved.  Firefighters went inside."

Firefighters could be seen removing insulation from inside the house.  Neely says they pulled the ceilings out of parts of the house to get to the fire in the attic.

The house has a metal roof and there were several hot sports firefighters were working on.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
