One Dead and Two Seriously Injured in Early Morning Mobile Home Fire

 

TYE, TX -- One person died yesterday after they were unable to escape a mobile home fire. 

According to KTXS, on October 13, at around 3:30 a.m. the Tye Volunteer Fire Department and the Abilene Fire Department were dispatched to the 100 block of South St. for the report of a mobile home that was engulfed in flames. 

When they arrived, they found the residence completely on fire and they began to fight the fire. 

Two of the three occupants escaped with serious burns. One of the victims was air-lifted to Lubbock and the other is currently in the ICU at Hendrick Medical Center. 

The third occupant in the house was an elderly woman who was pronounced dead on scene. 

The department's were able to keep the fire under control but the home was completely destroyed. 

It is unclear how this fire has started at this time.
