San Angelo Women Involved in Fatal Crash

HOCKLEY CO, TX -- Two teen sisters died last night after a crash with an SUV that was traveling on the wrong side of the road.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on August 7 the DPS responded to a major motor vehicle accident on US 84 near mile marker 294.

When they arrived they saw an SUV that had collided head on with another car. After those two collided a third vehicle, which was pulling a utility trailer, crashed into the back of vehicles.

After further investigation troopers determined that the SUV was driving on the wrong side of the highway.

The driver of the SUV, Jasmine Burman, 28, of San Angelo, and her four children are currently in a Lubbock hospital.

Two teen sisters from Amherst were in car. The 18-year-old died on scene and the 16-year-old was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital where she later passed away.

The driver that was pulling the trailer was not reported injured.
