San Angelo School Bus Crash Injures Drivers

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Two people were injured in a crash Wednesday morning involving a San Angelo ISD school bus.

The crash occurred near the intersection of E. 19th St. and Volney.  Witnesses on the scene say there were no children on the school bus.

San Angelo Police Department investigating officer Quade says the school bus was eastbound on 19th St. and was stopped to turn left onto Volney.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee was behind the school bus and didn't see it stop and crashed into the back of the school bus.

Both drivers suffered significant injuries and were transported to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance.

Officer Quade says the driver of the Jeep may be issued a citation for failure to control speed once the investigation is completed.
