Six People Injured Including Toddler In Crash on Winters Freeway

ABILENE, TX – Six people were sent to the hospital after a crash that occurred Monday morning on the Winters Freeway in Abilene.

Police say that a blue Dodge Durango was traveling southbound down the Winters Freeway when the vehicle crossed over the median, struck a light pole and entered the north bound lane.

Traveling down the Northbound lane was a white Ford Fiesta, which had a 27-year-old man, and his 1-year-old son. The blue Dodge Durango hit the Ford Fiesta head on.

The four occupants in the Durango and the two in the Fiesta were all transported to the hospital. The 27-year-old man in the Fiesta suffered serious injuries, but police say "he is currently still with us."
