Police: Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession After Causing Crash on Sherwood Way

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Three pickups and a passenger car crashed at the intersection of Southland and Sherwood Way Wednesday morning blocking traffic.

According to San Angelo Police Department investigating officer Brian Bylsma a 2007 Chevy Silverado towing a trailer and a Honda were stopped at the light headed northwest on Southland.

A Ford F-150 pickup hit the trailer from behind pushing it and the pickup into the intersection where the trailer hit two other vehicles.

The investigation is still pending.

The driver who caused the crash may have had a seizure according to Officer Bylsma.

Officers performed a field sobriety test on the driver who has a history of seizures which may be a factor in the cause of the crash.

The field sobriety test showed the driver wasn't intoxicated but there was some drug use.

Officers searched the vehicle and found a small quantity of marijuana.

The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana.

No word yet on citations to be issued pending completion of the investigation.
