School Bus Collision in Abilene

 

ABILENE, TX-- Police responded to a crash at about 7 a.m. this morning in Abilene.

An Abilene ISD school bus collided with an SUV on it's way to school, according to KTXS.

Eight children were riding the bus when the wreck happened, but they were checked out by EMT's and were cleared.

The bus monitor was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The bus driver received a citation for failure to yield to right of way.

After being cleared, the students were picked up by another bus and taken to Johnston and Lee elementary schools, where they were further evaluated by school nurses and parents were contacted.
