Residents Escape Injury as Fire Destroys House on Koberlin Street

 

Update 10/10/18 6:15 p.m.  Firefighters say residents self-evacuated before the house became 50 percent involved in flames and smoke Wednesday evening on Koberlin St. in eas San Angelo. 

According to Battalion Chief J. Neeley, the entire attic was involved and the SAFD had four pumper trucks a ladder truck and a battalion wagon they used to attack the fire. 

There was a lot of damage and the house in uninhabitable.  Two firefighters fell through the floor but were uninjured.  

No one in the home was injured.    

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Multiple units from the San Angelo Fire Department and Police Department converged on a structure fire on Koberlin St. Wed. afternoon. 

Reporters on the scene say there is at least one ambulance and they observed smoke coming from the single story structure in the 900 block of Koberlin. 

San Angelo Police have requested people avoid the area due to a structure fire.
