Wildfire Burning Near Rural Christoval Homes Under Control

 

CHRISTOVAL, TX --  The dry, drought ridden hill country near Christoval was ablaze Monday afternoon with flames coming dangerously close to homes. 

Christoval Volunteer Fire Fighters were able to control the blaze late Monday evening according to residents. 

The fire threatened the Oaks Subdivision including homes on John Curry Rd, and Bryka Lane.  It also threatened residents along Greek Oaks Dr. in the Oaks N. Subdivision.  

Tom Green County remains under a burn ban while wethering drought conditions continue.  There is a slight chance for rain later this week.
