Drivers In High Speed Crash in Wall Escape Injury Friday Night

WALL, TX -- The drivers of two vehicles involved in a high speed crash near Wall narrowly escaped serious injury Friday night after a major crash at the intersection of U.S. 87 and Hawk Avenue.

Tom Green County Sheriff's deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the crash around 8:45 p.m Friday night.

An ambulance was dispatched from San Angelo, but the DPS trooper on the scene said no one was injured.

The White Dodge Dakota pickup driven by a young man failed to yield the right of way, drove into the highway and hit an oncoming four do sedan.

The DPS trooper on the scene said the collision spun the car around and sent it into a nearby field.

Both vehicles were inoperable and were loaded up on flatbed wreckers from Home Motors.
