SUV Driver Narrowly Escapes Serious Injury Crashing into a Field South of Wall

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The driver of a Chevy SUV narrowly escaped injury Friday evening near Treece Road and U.S. 87 South when an unidentified vehicle cut her off.

According to Law Enforcement Officers at the scene, the driver of the SUV and the driver of the other vehicle were traveling south on U.S. 87 when the driver of the other vehicle swerved in front of the driver of the tan SUV.

The driver of the SUV swerved to avoid crashing into the other vehicle, over corrected, hit an object in the right barrow ditch and crashed into a nearby field about 100 yards west of the intersection of U.S. 87  and Treece Rd.

The driver of the unidentified vehicle failed to stop and render aid and continued driving east on U.S. 87 toward Eden.  There is not a description available at this time of that vehicle.

No one was injured and no citations were issued at the scene.
