Head On Crash Kills One and Injures Two North of Big Lake

 

BIG LAKE, TX -- The passenger in a 2017 Ford F-150 involved in a head on crash early Saturday morning on state highway 137 north of Big Lake was killed and the drivers of the vehicles were injured.  

According to Texas Department of Public Safety, 32-year-old Albert Barnes of McComb, MS was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of highway 137 when his 2011 Chevy Silverado Pickup crashed head on with the F-150 driven by 55-year-old Author Goodloe of Big Lake.  

Barnes was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo with non-incapacitating injuries.  Goodloe was wearing a seatbelt and was also transported to Shannon with non-incapacitating injuries.

Goodloe’s passenger, 44-year-old Oscar Sanchez Jr. of Big Lake was wearing a seatbelt but died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.  He was pronounced dead by Reagan County Justice of the Peace Patty Creech.
