San Angelo Biker Hurt Avoiding Crash on the First Day of Motorcycle Awareness Month

SAN ANGELO, TX -- On the first day of motorcycle awareness month a motorcyclist was injured avoiding a crash with a pickup on Beauregard in San Angelo as the pickup driver pulled out in front of the motorcycle.

According to San Angelo Police Department Investigating Officer Bowhay, the driver of the motorcycle was heading west on Beauregard when the driver of a Dodge pickup stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of N. Milton and Beauregard.  The driver of the pickup apparently didn’t see the motorcycle and pulled into the intersection.

The motorcyclist attempted to avoid a crash by laying the bike down and never collided with the truck.

The motorcyclist was transported to San Angelo Community Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
