18-Wheeler in Jack-Knife Mishap on Loop 306

SAN ANGELO, TX — An 18-wheeler jack-knifed on Loop 306 northbound near Wall Wednesday evening at around 10 p.m.

The airbrakes on the big rig locked up, according to DPS. No injuries were reported. But, traffic was diverted while a Home Motors Wrecker cleared the highway’s roadway. The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office said traffic was diverted off Loop 306 just north of FM 765 due to the jack-knifed rig.

Rain in the Concho Valley has made the roadways slick. This is the second 18-wheeler mishap reported this evening. Near Winters at around 8 p.m., an 18-wheeler was in a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. 83, closing that highway between Ballinger and Winters.
