Two Crashes Moments Apart Keep Emergency Crews Busy

SAN ANGELO, TX-- The San Angelo Fire and Police Departments were busy on Friday after two crashes happened just moments apart.

The first happened at the intersection of Sherwood Way and Sunset Dr. when a Jeep Liberty and GMC Sierra 2500 collided.

Officer Welch of SAPD said the GMC had two occupants and the Jeep had one. The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the GMC was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Almost immediately following that crash, the same crew of firefighters responded to a two car crash at the intersection of Campus Blvd. and West Beauregard Ave.

A Ford Edge collided with a Ford Fusion in the intersection which is a two-way stop.

The Fusion was northbound on Campus, at the stop sign, when the driver pulled into the intersection and was struck by the Ford Edge.

The driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance and will be cited for failure to yield the right of way.
