Fatality in Head-On Crash Between Motorcycle and Pickup on TX 208

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A motorcycle and pickup truck collided head-on at around 7 p.m. Friday night. We confirmed one fatality, likely the driver of the motorcycle.

From observation, the truck appeared to have swerved right and the point of impact was near the driver’s side of the truck.

The mood at the scene was solemn and first responders kept the media far away from the scene.

A Justice of the Peace was observed at the scene, likely to pronounce the driver of the motorcycle dead.

Texas DPS is investigating with assistance from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office. The Quail Valley VFD controlled access to the scene.

The crash happened on TX-208 near South Red Creek bridge, about 3 miles north of the Bristow Road intersection on TX-208. First responders did not get the scene cleared and the roadway opened for through traffic until 10:45 p.m. Friday night.

DPS released the name of the motorcyclist who who died and gave the official reason for the crash here.
