Vidor Woman Dies in Rollover Crash on Rain Soaked Highway in Nolan County

 

SWEETWATER, TX -- A 61-year-old woman from Vidor, TX died in a one vehicle rollover wreck six miles south of Sweetwater in Nolan County.  

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Sgt. Fred B. Biddle III, Cheryl Gibson Buckley was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup northbound on SH70 at 10 a.m. Monday morning where it entered a left curve at a speed too fast for the road conditions.  The vehicle was traveling at 75 mpm.

The vehicle went into a left, then right side skid and struck a guardrail on the East side of the road.  The vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its top and in the middle of the roadway.  Crash is under investigation.

Buckley was pronounced dead at the scene.
