Ford and Chevy Pickups Collide on Abe St. After an Unsafe Lane Change

SAN ANGELO, TX – Shortly before Wednesday's 5 p.m. rush-hour traffic, a driver of a Ford F150 attempted to make a left turn off of Abe St. onto West 1st St. but collided with a Chevrolet pickup.

According to investigating SAPD officer Welsh, both pickups were southbound on Abe when the driver of the F150 turned left in front of the tan Chevrolet Silverado.

One person was transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.

Traffic was down to one lane on Abe St. while the accident was cleared.

Officer Welsh says he is still investigating, but the driver of the F-150 may be cited for an unsafe lane change.
