In a preliminary investigation report from Sgt. Baker it states that a white 2016 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling northbound on U.S HWY 87 following a semi-trailer when the driver of the truck began reaching for her purse/phone. The driver's distraction caused her to rear-end the semi-truck.
