Durango Slams into Cars Stopped at Red Light on S. Bryant

A driver of a Dodge Durango slammed into a Buick Century causing damage to three vehicles on S. Bryant Ave. Wednesday afternoon at approximately 6 p.m.

According to San Angelo Police Traffic Investigator Brian Bylsma, the Durango driver was traveling at an unsafe speed north on Bryant and slammed into the rear of the Buick. The Buick, in turn, slammed into a third car in front of it while both cars were stopped at the stop light for the intersection with Ave. N.

The driver of the third car left the scene before police arrived.

The driver of the Durango was issued a citation for failure to control speed.

All victims in the crash were treated at the scene and refused transport to the hospital. By the time police arrived, the remaining two vehicles in the crash had cleared the roadway by pulling into the Stripes Convenience Store at the corner.
