Multiple Injuries When Van Full of Kids Hits Toyota Camry on U.S. 87

 

A dealer-plated Honda Odyssey with an adult female driver and five kids inside was destroyed and some of the occupants injured. It happened when a black Toyota Camry pulled out in front of the Odyssey traveling at highway speeds on U.S. 87 in Grape Creek Wednesday night.

According to Texas DPS Trooper Alan Dykstra, the driver of the Camry failed to yield the right-of-way. The Camry was headed south on March Rd. and attempting to turn onto U.S. 87. March Rd. has a stop sign.

The speed limits are 75 mph on U.S. 87 and 60 mph on March.

Dykstra said there were multiple injuries, but his investigation hasn’t chronicled them all yet. Two ambulances left the scene with patients.  Dykstra said they were headed to both hospitals in San Angelo.

Dykstra said that the driver of the Camry received a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way.
