Three Dead in Saturday Crash on U.S. 87

The DPS reported that three people died in a crash near Brady Saturday in a  collision on U.S. 87.

A 1992 Lexus LS4 was 12 miles north of Brady, southeast-bound when the Lexus hydroplaned on slick pavement. The Lexus entered a broadside skid into the opposing lane of traffic.

At the same time, traveling the opposite direction was a 2014 Hyundai Sonata. The Hyundai struck the Lexus on the driver’s side.

The Lexus came to a stop atop a guardrail and the Hyundai ended up in the northwest-bound lanes.

McCulloch County Justice of the Peace Margaret Sawyer pronounced both occupants of the Lexus dead at the scene. They were Lanita Sue-Ann Adames, 23, of Lampasas, and Reco Ali Evans, 28, of Killeen. One died in the Hyundai and she was Anita Rocha Valenciano, 82, of Boerne.

Elisa Valenciano, 51, and Antonio Paredes Valenciano, 82, both of Boerne, were transported to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
