San Angelo Woman Falls to Her Death

 

Concho County Sheriff Chad Miller reported that a San Angelo woman fell to her death late Saturday morning from a telecommunications tower located approximately 10 miles west of Eden. The exact height from which she fell was not reported by the Sheriff, but witnesses have told San Angelo LIVE! that it was likely 200 feet.

The 911 call reporting the accident was received by Concho County dispatch at 11:15 a.m. this morning. The Sheriff identified the victim as 28-year-old Stephanie Gurney of San Angelo. Her next-of-kin are notified.

Eden EMS responded and transported her to the Concho County Hospital. Shortly after arrival, she was pronounced dead by Concho County Justice of the Peace Spoonts.

The Sheriff is leading an investigation into the accident with assistance from the Texas Rangers. The body of the victim was sent to the South Plains Medical Examiner in Lubbock for an autopsy.
