A Whataburger Customer and a Wienerschnitzel Customer Crash Into One Another

The drivers of two Japanese cars were not injured, only shaken up, when they both pulled out of opposing fast food drive-thru exits at the 2200 block of Sherwood Way at 7:40 p.m.

Across from one another on San Angelo’s busy throughway are Whataburger on the north side, and Der Wienerschnitzel across the street.

According to San Angelo police, the Toyota Avalon was making a left turn out of Whataburger at the same time a black Nissan Pathfinder was making a left turn out of Der Wienerschnitzel. The cars crashed into one another in the center turn lane of Sherwood Way.

San Angelo police were at a loss to determine which driver was at fault. The rear tires of both cars were exactly the same distance from the edge of the turn lane. After making sure there were no injuries, the crash scene was quickly cleaned up by the San Angelo Fire Department and Home Motors.

Police said there were no citations.

Look around across from you, not just left right and left again. You have to drive for the other cars around you too! Also, maybe choosing a right turn away from the busy on coming traffic, and going around the block might be safer! Hope everyone is ok!
