Man Arrested After Rolling Truck Into Carport on Ave. L

An older model white Ford F-150 has rolled over into the carport of a residence in the 660 of E. Ave. L, smashing into the homeowner's 2012 F-150. The F-150 under the carport sustained only minor damage, however the F-150 that rolled is now lying on its side

Eyewitnesses on the scene said that the man was barreling down Ave. L, and after he jumped the curb and rolled into the carport, he climbed out and said something "I know I'm drunk" as beer cans fell out of the vehicle.  A field sobriety has been administered and police have put the man in handcuffs.

Barbara Medillon said she was getting ready to sleep when her husband heard a big, loud boom.

"He came outside first," she said. "The vehicle was smoking and a gentlemen was getting out of the vehicle saying he was drunk, and by that point we already had a lot of people pulling over to help."

No one was injured in the crash and only the truck was involved.

Update 9:36 p.m.

An officer on scene confirmed the witness' statement, stating that the man had been recklessly driving down the street when he hit a curb and rolled.
